During the last Board of Trustees meeting for the 2024 calendar year, outgoing Board Chair Dan Kelly and Trustee Dianne Byrum were each honored for their service, dedication and leadership to the MSU community.
Accomplished leaders will join in celebrating the achievements of more than 4,000 Spartan graduates during MSU’s fall semester commencement ceremonies Dec. 13 and 14. This year’s undergraduate fall class comprises students from more than 66 countries, all 50 U.S. states and 73 of Michigan’s 83 counties.
For 17 years, the MSU College of Human Medicine and Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan, have funded more than $27 million in exploratory and developmental research projects that have brought together the clinical and scientific strengths of both institutions.

MSU used an inclusive and comprehensive strategic planning process to create a shared vision for the future and a common set of principles and values to guide our work.
To recognize the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion as a foundation for university, MSU is using a comprehensive DEI planning process focusing on those values and working in collaboration with the overall strategic planning process.
The RVSM Strategic Plan stems from work by leading researchers and experts in the field to develop a plan for survivor services, prevention efforts, and climate and culture change initiatives.
