The supercomputing center at MSU, named the Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research, or ICER, celebrated the 20th anniversary of enabling researchers to accelerate their discoveries with MSU’s supercomputer in late February.

Belief in fake news linked to problematic social media use: The associate and assistant professors, respectively, at the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, shared new research finding those with problematic social media use are more likely to engage and share fake news.
How redefining just one word could strip the Endangered Species Act’s ability to protect vital habitat: The assistant professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at the College of Natural Resources published a piece about threats to the Endangered Species Act and what it could mean should protections for species to be eliminated.
Detroit’s next mayor can do these three things to support neighborhoods beyond downtown: The assistant professor in the School of Planning, Design and Construction at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources published an article about her research on housing insecurity and what is needed to improve Detroit neighborhoods.

MSU used an inclusive and comprehensive strategic planning process to create a shared vision for the future and a common set of principles and values to guide our work.
To recognize the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion as a foundation for university, MSU is using a comprehensive DEI planning process focusing on those values and working in collaboration with the overall strategic planning process.
The RVSM Strategic Plan stems from work by leading researchers and experts in the field to develop a plan for survivor services, prevention efforts, and climate and culture change initiatives.
