Michigan State University

MSU’s East Lansing campus—one of the largest in the United States—is home to a vibrant and diverse community of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as renowned scholars and scientists from around the globe. It’s a hub for international programs, centers, and events and worldwide partnerships.

But that’s just the start. The influence of our dynamic and diverse Spartan community extends into neighborhoods, businesses, schools, hospitals, and communities close to home and around the world.

Through programs that are not only interdisciplinary but intercontinental, MSU students and scholars, scientists, and leaders are at work—from the MSU Bioeconomy Institute in western Michigan and the MSU Detroit Center to elementary schools in Taiwan and the Southern Astrophysical Research telescope in Chile.

The impact can be seen from small business start-ups in Michigan to the jungles of Nepal, where researchers are examining how humans and tigers together and separately affect the environment, to thousands of farms in Malawi, where MSU is helping to foster an agricultural revolution.
