What is the Web Site Starter Kit?

The Web starter Kit contains a set of files that provide the basics needed to create a simple site in the MSU look and feel. The kit includes a Dreamweaver template and support files as well as some options for banner images and logo placement.

What kind of experience do I need to use the kit?

Experience with Dreamweaver is necessary to set up the site using the template. A one-page HTML version is available for advance developers who wish to incorporate the layouts in developing environments other then Dreamweaver.

Where can I learn more about Dreamweaver and Web development?

Dreamweaver and Web development classes are available through LCTTP. Some of these classes, including "Fundamentals of Web Development" and "Dreamweaver 8 - Level 2," will specifically reference the starter kit. For more information, visit www.train.msu.edu.

Are there instructions included with the kit?

Yes, complete instructions and documentation are in the kit

Is the MSU Web Site Starter Kit accessible?

The starter kit has been developed and tested to meet the standards outlined in the university's Statement of Encouragement regarding Web accessibility.
