Bio

Dr. Stanley Griffis is the Donald J. Bowersox and Robert W. Thull Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Dr Griffis joined Broad College's faculty in 2009 following his retirement from the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel. His research interests have included logistics' role in creating online customer value, social networks’ influence upon supply chain management, and how meta-heuristics can improve real-world vehicle routing.

Griffis has published research in the Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, International Journal of Production Research, Transportation Journal, European Journal of Operations Research, Journal of Management, International Journal of Management Science (Omega), International Journal of Production Economics, Supply Chain Management Review, and the Journal of Transportation Management. He is an active speaker at professional and academic meetings, and has published in various conference proceedings. He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and the American Society of Transportation and Logistics.

Griffis received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University with a major in Logistics and a minor in Information Systems Management. He also holds a Master of Science in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Master of Arts in Logistics from The Ohio State University.
