Bio

Frederick P. Morgeson is Eli Broad Professor of Management in the Eli Broad College of Business. As an industrial and organizational psychologist (PhD, Purdue University) who joined MSU in 2000, he studies how organizations can optimally identify, select, develop, manage, and retain talent to achieve their strategic goals. 

With more than two decades of experience, Morgeson has conducted award-winning research, taught, and consulted across a range of topics in the human resource management and talent management domain. He is one of the most prolific and most frequently cited scholars in the world and has published in virtually every leading management and psychology journal. 

Morgeson founded and currently serves as Editor of the Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior, which is one of the most influential journals in the field. He sits on boards of Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Organizational Psychology Review and has earned fellow status from the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He is former chair of the HR Division of the Academy of Management and recently completed two terms as chair of the Undergraduate Programs Committee, responsible for oversight and management of all undergraduate programs in the Broad College.
