April 19: Employee COVID-19 vaccine appointments available this week

Spartan Faculty and Staff,

Thanks to our partnership with the Ingham County Health Department, and with the support of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Michigan State University now can provide our employees COVID-19 vaccine appointments during this week. All faculty and staff, regardless of primary residency, can schedule an appointment to receive the two-dose Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine through MSU’s clinic at the north end of the Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education. During your first-dose appointment, you will be scheduled to receive your second dose in a few weeks.

Faculty and staff appointments for this week are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We hope to add more appointments in the coming weeks. Please check the appointment link often; new appointments are added regularly. We also have information on the Together We Will website, where you can register for an appointment with other providers in the state.

Supervisors are being asked to work with employees so that they do not need to take time off to attend a COVID-19 vaccine appointment. Even once you are fully vaccinated, remember to continue the essential health and safety practices that we know slows the spread of COVID-19 and its variants. This includes wearing a face covering, practicing physical distancing, getting tested and washing your hands often.

I continue to tell anyone and everyone, getting a COVID-19 vaccine is the single most important thing you can do, personally, to help us have a more typical fall 2021 semester. Together, we will.
