Aug. 24: Deadline for vaccine verification form is Aug. 31

MSU Students,

One week remains until the Aug. 31 deadline for all students to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (either fully or with at least one dose of a two-dose vaccine). Those who haven’t completed the vaccine verification form and attested that they are vaccinated or applied for an exemption by Aug. 31 will be considered non-compliant. That will begin a process that could result in discipline up to expulsion. Non-compliant students should not come to campus.

Limited medical and religious exemptions are available, and students also can be exempted from the vaccine requirement if they are taking only online classes and will not be on any MSU property for any reason during the fall 2021 semester. Even those seeking an exemption MUST fill out the vaccine verification form, which will direct you to the exemption process. Those granted medical or religious exemptions and those whose exemption requests are pending must participate in the Early Detection Program by Sept. 1. As a reminder, the exemption forms can be found at the Together We Will website.

For those who have been vaccinated or have applied for an exemption, thank you for doing your part to help protect the MSU community. Everyone else must either receive their vaccine or apply for an exemption by Aug. 31, as well as fill out all the applicable forms.

You can receive a free COVID-19 vaccination through the MSU Health Care Pharmacy. At this time, while COVID-19 vaccine boosters are expected to be available to the general population in September, the MSU Health Care Pharmacy is currently only providing first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine, which now has full FDA approval. Additionally, free COVID-19 vaccination clinics leading up to and following the vaccination requirement deadline are available to all students. For those not in the East Lansing area, visit vaccines.gov to find a U.S. vaccination site near you.

Thank you for your cooperation.
