Weekly Coronavirus Communications Update - Oct. 9

Colleagues:

Here is your weekly recap of communications related to COVID-19 that you may have missed this week. Have a great weekend!

Important updates:

  • Thursday, SVP Vennie Gore and Associate Provost Mark Largent sent a message to all undergraduate students reminding them of several action items that require their action. The message included important reminders about the Early Detection Program, COVID-19 guidance and the university’s vaccination requirement. A copy of that message is attached.
  • Also this week, Ingham County Health Department shared FAQs related to COVID-19 vaccine boosters and third doses, including the difference between the two.
  • The University Physician’s Office also shared flu vaccine clinic dates this week.

Spartan Stories:

  • Christine Greenhow, associate professor of educational technology in the College of Education, answers common questions regarding opportunities and challenges that comes with K-12 online learning. Read more here.
  • The Michigan State University Food Literacy and Engagement Poll sampled 2,002 Americans to explore how COVID-19 has affected food choices and access. Read more here.

As always, please continue to check our Together We Will website for the latest information on our response to the pandemic, and MISpartan Impact for stories on partnerships and collaborations across the state.
