    MSU Safe Place provides shelter to anyone experiencing emotional, physical or sexual abuse in an ongoing relationship and is in need of a safe, confidential place to stay. For support or shelter, contact MSU Safe Place. MSU affiliated persons needing shelter can use the number listed above to access our on-call phone service after 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends and holidays.
  • MSU Center for Survivors - 517-372-6666
    The MSU Center for Survivors responds to those impacted by sexual violence and works to create a community free of violence and oppression. MSU Center for Survivors provides counseling and support groups to MSU students, working with sexual assault survivors and all others who are impacted by sexual violence. Our 24-hour hotline and advocacy services are offered to anyone in the greater Lansing community.

    Services include mental health and substance abuse counseling, aftercare services for adults with severe and persistent mental illness in need of case management, medication clinic and day treatment services.
  • The Listening Ear - 517-337-1717
    The Listening Ear Crisis Intervention Center has been open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year since July 15, 1969. The center provides free and confidential service for telephone and walk-in clients in crisis. Volunteers are trained to deal with crises that include depression, suicide, loneliness, sexual assault, grief and many others.

    EVE provides shelter and supportive services for the victims of domestic violence while seeking to end domestic violence through public awareness and community education.
  • Lansing Association for Human Rights
    The mission of LAHR is to pursue justice and equality for LGBTQIA peoples through community-led advocacy, connection and education.
  • Sparrow Hospital Behavioral Health Services - 517-364-7650
    The Behavioral Health program provides or coordinates resources for those individuals who experience an emotional or psychological crisis, psychiatric illness or substance addiction. It offers both inpatient, day treatment and outpatient programs.
  • St. Vincent Catholic Charities Family Counseling Center - 517-323-4734
    Provides therapeutic services for any residents of the tri-county area, and serves individuals, couples, families and children of all ages.
  • Insight Recovery Centers - 800-838-1752
    A comprehensive provider of substance abuse and mental health services. Insight offers residential, day treatment and outpatient programs for those dealing with mental health or substance abuse concerns.
