Web-based portfolios amplify the many benefits of the portfolio concept. This presentation will showcase examples of teachers’ portfolios developed in my courses on electronic portfolios and in the capstone seminar for Michigan State University’s completely online masters degree and discuss how making good work visible can benefit individuals and organizations.

The workshop will showcase many examples of portfolios, as well as provide links to sets of resources about portfolios and for creating portfolios. You can see some of these examples by reading my AERA paper, which includes links to examples.

Portfolios on the Web: A Shared Resource for Personal and Institutional Improvement.

The workshop is intended to engage your thinking about the portfolio concept as it can apply to you at different points in your career and in various forms, from teaching portfolio, to classroom portfolio and school portfolio, and portfolios for certification.
