Keel-billed Toucan

Welcome to my website about interests and adventures! I am an assistant professor at Lyman Briggs School at Michigan State University. My interests include tropical rainforests, computers and the Internet, teaching science, and natural history.

On my website, you can find details about my current work, my postdoctoral studies at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Insititute, and my doctoral research at the University of Michigan.

My favorite place on Earth is the rainforests of the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua, where I spent several months a year living in a small farming village from 1992-1997.
