Geocaching Infographic

This infographic was designed for a final project, its display medium was a large poster or projector. While the instructions have changed from the year I took the class the basic ideas are the same for the instructions (Click here for instructions). We had to create an infographic about something, it had to involve maps and we had to find all of our own data. Since the course focus was on cartographic design this had to be our best map showcasing everything we had learned about design. I chose Geocaching because I knew an easy way to create my data and had recently engaged in an interesting conversation about Geocaching in Germany with a friend of mine. I pulled graphics off to mimic their designs and color schemes. As you can see with the countries, they are all based off the logo colors of, additionally I tried very hard to replicate the fonts they use for their site.
