I am a Ph.D student of experimental condensed Matter Physics at Michigan State University. My advisor is Prof. Chong-Yu Ruan.

I have got B.S. and M.S. degrees from Phyiscs Department of Chung-Ang Univeristy at Seoul, Korea(2007), supervised by Prof. Yoon, Young-Gui. I studied atomic and electronic structure of nano-material, such as carbon nanotube and Si/Ge surface, using density functional theory (DFT) in mater degree. I came Michigan State Univeristy in Fall 2007, and continued studying the nano-material using DFT until Dec. 2009. My current research interest is ultra-short time scale non-equilibrium process induced by femto-second laser in nano-materials. Basically, I am studying photo-induced non-equilibrium process using ultrafast electron crystalography.
