The RCAH Center for Poetry depends on the work of our talented and enthusiastic interns to carry out our mission.

The RCAH Center for Poetry is now accepting applications for internships for the 2019-20 academic year. We have opportunities for undergraduate students (sophomores-seniors) of any major. We offer the internship areas (below) as suggestions but are open to students with other areas of expertise, as we tailor intern duties to the individual’s skill sets and interests.

Interns are responsible for working with the Assistant Director to lead their own projects in addition to helping the entire staff with visiting artists and events, and will likely work in several different categories as needed. All interns are expected to staff events and to review/evaluate manuscripts and other contest entries.

Regular hours are weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., however, staffing is required for evening and occasional weekend events throughout the semester. Interns are expected to commit 4-6 hours weekly, scheduling around student class and job schedules. Internships are unpaid but may be optionally taken for 1-3 credits.

To apply, submit a resume and cover letter to RCAH Center for Poetry Interim Director Cindy Hunter Morgan at expressing your interest, how your skill set makes you a good candidate for the position, and what experience you hope to gain with an internship at the RCAH Center for Poetry.

Application Deadline: 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019
