Since 2000 the current Michigan State University Drumline has offered help sessions for those auditioning. These sessions are designed to help anyone auditioning for the MSU Drumline, but anyone is welcome to attend, regardless if he / she is auditioning this year or at all. Each person may come and go as he / she pleases - the sessions are to help you!

The 2018 help sessions will be held at Demonstration Hall weekly beginning in January, 2018 and continuing to the last audition. A map to Demonstration Hall can be found here . The schedule is now posted on the calendar. Most of these will be on Thursday nights from 6:30 - 8:30, but please check the schedule on the calendar regularly! Visitors, please be aware that parking can be a challenge, especially on nights of MSU athletic events. Parking is generally free after 6:00 in many spots, but check posted signs.

We will provide drums and cymbals. You should bring music (from the website or the performance pieces from Dr. Weber) and sticks / mallets. Snares may wish to bring stands.

Lessons are highly encouraged. If you would like suggestions for a teacher, please email Dr. Weber at drumline@msu.edu.

We have created a Facebook group to communicate about help sessions. The group is called MSU Drumline Help Sessions 2018; just search for that group on Facebook and ask to join!
