I am a 5th year student in the Ph.D. program in linguistics at Michigan State University, having previously finished my BA in linguistics at Rutgers University. My dissertation is in semantics, but I am interested in both phonology and semantics, broadly. I participate in both the Phonology and Phonetics Research Group and in the Semantics Lab.
My dissertation aims are exploring the relationship between degrees and events, which I've glossed more thoroughly on the Research page. I also have an ongoing project in domain-final lengthening, and my interests also include working in R. I have some statistial experience with phonological data, and I am interested in branching out into NLP, although I've only gotten through sentiment analysis with DataCamp so far.
Last year I was president of the Linguistics Student Organization, our graduate student organization, but I am still active. This year I am the graduate undergraduate liasion. Please feel free to contact me if you have any question about that as well, or go ahead and browse our website if you want to see a little of what the MSU linguists have been up to lately!
This is my CV. Please contact me at feldsch3 at msu.edu.
