Antibiotic Resistance:
Case Study

MSU

Why do I want to teach science?

I have a passion for nature and animals and love learning about both.
I love spending time outdoors and I am a conservationist at heart. I like
science because it has many subjects related to animals and nature. I enjoy

helping others learn about science. I think science is an important subject
and everyone should have a good background in it to understand the world
around them and how it works. I understand that some people are not
as interested in science as I am, but I want to make science fun and
interesting for everyone.

Maranda and I at Michigan State University dressed up in waders during Ecology lab before
wading around in the Red Cedar River testing water quality and searching for invertebrates.
This was right after the ice had metled, and the water was just above freezing!!!
You really have to love science to jump in the river in the middle of winter.

"The known is finite, the unknown infinite. Intellectually we stand on an islet in the midst of an illimitable
ocean of inexplicability. It is our duty in each generation to regain a little more land."
~ Aldous Huxley
