The Fact Is (I Need You)
We are a family, albeit dysfunctional. That is what we are at the core. And just like a family, we must come to notice the discrepancies that lie in wait to tear us apart. We must combat them by communicating, expressing how we feel, what we think needs to be done, and how to achieve those means. Just like a family, we are interdependent upon one another. If you can't move neither can I, and vice versa.
There are so many things I can do by myself. I can "put my own gas in my own car," buy my own clothes, and pay my own bills. There's even more that the LBGT community, as a whole, can do. We can protest; we can rally; we can discuss the issues. But without help from our privileged family members, we won't go far... (more)
