Getting to MSU

How to get here

By Air:

The three closest airports to East Lansing are: Lansing (LAN), Flint (FNT), and Detroit (DTW). However, we can only pick you up from the Lansing airport. If you are flying into Detroit you should arrange to take the Michigan Flyer bus, which will take you directly to the University Place Marriott in East Lansing. The Michigan Flyer costs $25.00 each way and has many daily departures. Once you arrive in East Lansing, a current student can pick you up from the University Place Marriott. Check the Flint Airport for ground transportation options.

By Train or Bus:

There is an Amtrak and Greyhound station close to campus. If you are arriving by either train or bus, please let us know so we can arrange to pick you up from the station.

Where to park on campus

Parking at MSU can be tricky at times. If you are bringing a car with you to campus, the best place to park is at the Visitor Parking Lot located on Shaw Lane, across from Erickson Hall. You will need to pay for parking at this lot, as the program is unable to cover the cost. For a map and/or more information on visitor parking please visit the Department of Police and Public Safety.
