About Me

firefox-grayI am graduate student at Michigan State studying biometrics with Dr. Arun Ross. I started my undergraduate career at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. There I received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2013.

I spent two summers at Oak Ridge National Lab in the Geographic Information Science & Technology group. My mentor at ORNL was Anil Cheriyadat. The first summer (2012) I evaluated different features for use in classifying aerial imagery. The second summer (2013) I explored if changes to Multiple-Instance Learning could improve its effectiveness in classifying imagery.
