Dr. Ángel Abuelo is a veterinarian, researcher, and Red Cedar Distinguished Professor in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences. His specialty is dairy cattle, primarily on the interaction between nutrition and the immune system of neonatal dairy calves, and how nutritional interventions can improve the immune responses of calves and, therefore, increase their resistance to diseases.
