Bio

Gina Leinninger is a Red Cedar Distinguished Professor in the Department of Physiology, and in the Neuroscience program. Her laboratory is focused on the study of how neurons in the lateral hypothalamic area contribute to energy balance and weight--crucial factors in developing better therapeutics for treatment and prevention of obesity and obesity-linked disease.
