Bio

Jiying Ling is the first faculty member from the MSU College of Nursing to be named an MSU Research Foundation Professor. She is a Professor of Nursing, Assistant Director of the Nursing Ph.D. program, and also serves as Undergraduate Research Program Coordinator for the college. 

As a researcher, she dedicated over a decade to developing and evaluating school- and home-based bio-behavioral interventions aimed at reducing obesity and promoting mental, emotional, and behavioral health among economically marginalized parent-child dyads.Her research focuses on leveraging existing techniques and innovative theoretical frameworks to actively engage parents or guardians in fostering resilience and whole child health during early childhood development.
