Bio

Merry Morash is a University Distinguished Professor and professor in the School of Criminal Justice. Her research is focused on gender, crime, and justice, and she recently completed a six-year interdisciplinary mixed-methods study, funded by the National Science Foundation, investigating the effects of probation and parole services on women. She has published books and articles on women and girls in the juvenile justice system, on the experiences of battered women who have immigrated to the U.S., land on women who work as police. She has also done extensive research on juvenile delinquency and the juvenile justice system.
