July 29: COVID-19 vaccine survey response due Aug. 6

Dear Spartan Faculty and Staff,

As we announced last week, MSU is asking all faculty and staff to fill out a brief voluntary survey on whether they have been vaccinated against COVID-19. The survey is now live and can be accessed at https://go.msu.edu/vaccinesurvey. We strongly encourage you to take the survey and ask that your responses be recorded by Aug. 6.

The information gathered in this survey, in addition to nonidentifiable information already on file with the university, will be essential for our planning as we approach the fall semester. As a reminder, the survey data will be kept secure and reviewed only in aggregate by MSU leadership and public health professionals. Personally identifiable information will not be shared with the public, faculty, classmates or supervisors. MSU will publicly share general data on vaccination rates among students, faculty and staff.

Now is the time to act if you have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccine. All members of the MSU community can receive a free COVID-19 vaccination through the MSU Health Care Pharmacy. For those not in the East Lansing area, visit vaccines.gov to find a U.S. vaccination site near you. International students and scholars should seek out a WHO-approved vaccine.

Thank you for your cooperation.
