MSU graduate student Heath Baldwin won the decathlon at the U.S. Track and Field trials at Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, to secure a spot at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. He is the first Spartan to qualify for the Olympic decathlon since Paul Terek in 2004.
Former MSU athlete Tori Franklin has qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics in the triple jump. This is Franklin's second Olympics, having qualified for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Former MSU guard Shay Colley was named to the Canadian women's basketball team set to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This is the second Olympic appearance for Colley who also represented Canada at the 2020 Tokyo games.

MSU used an inclusive and comprehensive strategic planning process to create a shared vision for the future and a common set of principles and values to guide our work.
To recognize the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion as a foundation for university, MSU is using a comprehensive DEI planning process focusing on those values and working in collaboration with the overall strategic planning process.
The RVSM Strategic Plan stems from work by leading researchers and experts in the field to develop a plan for survivor services, prevention efforts, and climate and culture change initiatives.
