Working with NASA to help U.S. farmers

Researchers from MSU are part of a team of researchers and stakeholders nationwide who will use a $15 million grant from NASA to strengthen U.S. agriculture as it faces climate effects.

 

 

Protecting bird species with the Audubon Society

MSU and the National Audubon Society are using a $1.3 million NSF grant to support bird conservation in North America, creating more robust population forecasts in the face of climate and land-use change.

 

 

Creating building materials that sequester carbon

A team of MSU researchers is developing low-cost, sustainable 3D-printed building materials that can repair themselves and capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

 

 

Unlocking secrets of plants that survive droughts

MSU researchers are part of a multi-institution NSF grant to learn why certain plants can survive extreme drought and what they can teach us about life without water.

 

 

Contributing research to a federal climate report

A first-of-its-kind climate report features the work of MSU researchers who show how carbon dioxide can be captured from the atmosphere using bioenergy and cropland-soil management solutions.

 

 

Growing resilience in the nation’s food system

The Center for Regenerative Agriculture is helping the farmers and ranchers who produce our food to mitigate climate challenges by restoring soil health on lands used for crops and cattle.
