We are pleased to see the state House and Senate approve the higher education budget for next fiscal year and increase funding for universities by 2 percent. While we still have a long way to go, this modest increase continues the positive trend of increasing higher education funding after years of reducing state aid.

We are also pleased to see budget increases to Ag Extension and AgBioResearch. Given the importance of agriculture to the state’s economy, these are important services that need continued state support.
